rode it today could not get past 45 and also gears 1-2 are hard to get into like i need to apply more pressure to foot shifter

loss of power in cold
since ive gotten my bike back from shop after repairng stripped oil cap bolts...it seems that my gz has lost some power is it because of the cold weather ..i remember not having that much difficulty...

stripped nuts on oil filter cap
i noticed on my bike the other day that two of the nuts on the oil filter cap just turn and dont tighten ..only 1 is holding it in ..does'nt seem like oil is leaking if is a very little cuz i changed...

long warm ups
sometimes in the winter i let it warm up like 10 mins....i know my idler is set a lil low asked guy at a bike dealer ...he said as lon g as not dying at lights you are ok i was always afraid of it...

pre ride question
im considering riding my bike from st.louis to sedona az. in june..it is approx 3000 miles round trip.. i bought it new june 07 i have approx 4000 miles on it now im thinking by june 08..i'll prb put...
