Yes it pops once only at the very start of firing and runs fine after that. Not sure what you mean by engine revolutions. I read it on here I did a search and found a similar situation....

Suzuki sells brackets that holds their saddle bags but I guess you don't even need them becuz your way works just fine. I find suzuki's accessories much too expensive for my taste. A $10 backpack...

Lucky you that's a sweet bike! I would trade my GZ for a TU anyday. I've heard only good reviews about the TU. Unfortunately they don't sell TU's in Canada which sucks otherwise I would be riding one...

Just fueled up my bike and it's good to go again. I bought the bike with some gas in it and I think I filled about $13 worth of gas and it went like 375 kilometers before it sputtered on me...
