Re: Sad and Bad
Not to mention the grossly unenlightened who drive them.
My dad lost 1/4 of his H.S. graduating class to auto accidents. My class lost 0.2%.
We had a drivers ed. program. We were taught to be...

Man is a social animal who forms into groups and societies, good and bad. Good, and you have...

Re: Sad and Bad
Is that how you see it, WW; to clothe, house, and feed someone for 50 years without some damn good benefit to the community that's paying for it is being a "liberal bleeding heart"?
There is no way...

Re: Active noise-cancelling earphones?
That's probably the most significant advice given.
The first noise canceling speaker system I ever heard of came with the Lotus from several years back. And they're kinda' fun to drive, to :)
A few...

I think Alan started using the expression, more as a survivalists' description for those between you and where ever you're trying to get to… mostly out of town. But, "like your boss, certain...

Re: Road trip San Diego CA to Albuquerque NM
I suggested a mechanical foot pump because they are not limited to how many times you can inflate the tire. I also suggested a compression driven engine-pump, because he has two cylinders. I would...

Cell phone. Turn it off when you aren't checking messages.
The usual spare bulbs and fuses.
Whatever toiletries you need to...
