Won't rev with choke on
 

I finally took out the GZ after 3 years of letting it sit and fixed her up (carb cleaned). She runs ok but I am not getting the same power that I did before.

One thing that confuses me is that as soon as I rev a little while choke is on at all, the engine dies. As soon as I take the choke off I can rev all I want.

Although she runs, I am wondering if this is an indicator of why I am not getting the power I remember. The bike just doesn't run like she use to. Not sure if it's getting enough fuel.

Anyone know what would cause that to happen?
