Alternate Tire Size

I am looking to replace both the front and rear tires on my 2009 GZ. The Suzuki dealership will replace them for $434.00. What size of tires could I use to replace the hard to find matched tread Metzler tires that came with it? Apparently, only Suzuki has the 110/90 16 and 130/90 15 tires. I want something that is not going to change the handling characteristics of the bike.

Please comment.:???:

I used Kenda Kruzers & challenger front & back. 100/90 on front & 130/140/90 on rear. :)

I ended up with a Pirelli Route 66 on the rear and had a Pirelli Sport Demon touring tubeless type installed (with a tube). The dealer said he couldn't find a tube type tire for the front so I went somewhere else. Now that I can change my own tires, will look to Kenda or Shinko if they have our sizes.

Your dealer didn't know much........Almost all tires manufactured today are rated tubless. They will work with either a tube for spoke wheel or no tube for a cast wheel. :)

A good source of tires is Jake Wilson in Washington.

Yep! No longer go there, that's for sure!

Thanks for the input. I will see if I can score some tires that don't break the bank.

Found some Shinko tires with matching treads at one of the Suzuki dealers in Las Vegas. I thought $300.00 mounted and balanced was a good deal. They aren't quite as sticky as the Metzlers but will give me more total miles. I have already gotten 10K out of my Metzlers so I should be good for quite a while.
