Rear brake, massive failure, freeway.

I was about 5 miles from home and slowing in freeway traffic when I heard a huge
bang and my brake pedal shot my right foot/leg off it.
I pull over to find parts broken, bent or missing.
I assume the bolt that fastens the drum to the small swing arm sheared cuz
the nut didn't back out with a cotterpin in place.

Anywho. Yeah. Lots of broken, bent and missing parts. No rear brake.
I used an old grocery bag to tie the odds and ends up to the main swingarm and
off the tire. Then hobbled piccolo home.
Didn't put this in troubleshooting cuz I know what I gotta do and I have a fair
amount of junk parts.

Just wanted to share the :wtf: pull over and  >:(
Will post pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.
Getting  right now

WOW !!!!! Would be interested in pictures and reason why this happened. The main thing is you did not get hurt and sounds like bike is fixable. Keep us posted.

Yikes!!!!!! I'm thankful nothing got tangled up in the rear wheel. That would be a world record "Pucker Factor". Glad you got home in one piece.
