Can I assume gn250 parts do not fit my 2000 gz250?
I'm talking cylinder, piston, rings and valves.
My compression is getting low and I want an alternative to throwing the bike in the gutter. |
It's a different head design, if I'm not mistaken.
You can do a little more research, but I'm pretty sure a few people have had similar thoughts to you in the past only to be disappointed. |
My thought is cylinder, piston and rings. Found a gn250 set in china for 100 bux.

So... Time to gamble. Do I risk the money or not 0_o

Dude if it's just $100, why not? You'll at least get some parts that are useful and you'll forever enhance the knowledge database of usable parts.

Kk next paycheck buys this overhaul kit for gn250

Absolute worst case scenario, you'll have parts to resell and will have only spent $100.
Good luck. |
Engines look the same, and in Wikipedia FWIW it says that the GN250 'features the same basic powertrain as the GZ250'. Hope it works.

Just did a bit of searching. The GN makes 22 ponys, a bit more than the GZ. Too bad they were discontinued a while back. Looks to be a little lower in the saddle too. Could be a great alternative for short folks if they can find a good used one.

absolutely YES....go for it....GZ250 , GN250 and GS250X (mine) practically same in all engines component....
