Does this sprocket look good?

Hello,

I just changed my chain yesterday but didn't change the sprockets. I have a new one to compare side by side and it looked very identical so i didn't change it.

What do you guys think?

Here's a picture:

Qasual - How many miles on the bike, usually when you see rounding or chips on the tooth is when I would replace it.

There's 13,000km on the bike. I know the sprockets and chain should be changed as a set, but looking at my sprockets, it seemed very new. So decided to ask you guys for an opinion lol.

Honestly probably not, I say give it one more set of chains before changing the sprocket. These guys are work horses.

Note that the tooth profile is not symmetrical. (It should be....)

if you have the new sprockets already go ahead and change them. a worn sprocket usually will where out your new chain faster.

I would toss the old sprocket. To my eyes the sprocket looks worn to the point that the chain rollers will not fit properly between the sprocket teeth. The new sprocket will be cheaper than a prematurely worn out chain.
I always changed chain and both sprockets as a set just to be sure of reliability and smooth running.
Call me silly but I always changed wheel bearings when installing new tires too.
Oddly enough the tires and chain etc always lasted 25,000 kms for me so it was a hit in the wallet when things were due. Other than that the Vstrom 650 needed nothing else but regular maintenance, gas and exercise.
