Apalachicola National Forest Loop
Went for my first long ride since last fall Yesterday. Weather and work keeping me home on weekends. About 350 miles and deer hunting on the way back I forgot the camera so there no photos. It didn't go quite the way I planned so this is a corrected map. It was a beautiful day. The highest temperature I saw was 74F. Not much traffic. On one stretch of road I counted 12 cars in 23 miles. There were almost no motorcycles out. I expected this. Around here most people will not get out and ride unless it 80 degrees. On the way home we had a few deer run across the road in front of us for a little excitement. Thats better than bears. I noticed some new bear crossing signs and I'm not sure what I would do if a bear got in the road in front of me. We got an unexpected cheap lunch when we stopped for gas in Bristol. It was grand opening day at the BP and they had free hot, wings, pizza, and drinks were 2 for a dollar. A dollar to feed two people lunch. Next time I'll try to remember the camera.
