Yet another (big) oil leak - what to do?

Hi guys. I was riding today and during a stop I notices the engine block was dirty and oily. So I wiped it off and kept riding and saw oil bleeding out through that gasket. I happens mostly at high speeds, when the engine is in high rpm. It's a pretty big leak as it messed up my pants and had oil on the bike all the way to the end of the exhaust.
I tried to tighten that bolt, but it didn't make much of a difference. Rode it slow all the way home and kept an eye on the oil level.

So my question is: how bad is this? Do I just need to replace the gasket? Or it's indicative of a bigger problem? Could this have been caused by the fact that my last (stupid) mechanic put a little bit more oil in the bike, over the full limit?

Please give me some advice if you can. Thank you. Here's the picture of the thing. The oil leak is exactly where the arrow is pointing:

Just the clutch cover gasket.About $20.00 & a hours work. The biggest part of the job is getting the old gasket cleaned off.Be careful not to gouge the soft mating surfaces.I used a dremel tool with a small sanding drum attached.Worked really well.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. I ordered the gasket and it should be here by Friday. I hope to get it fixed quick and painless. :)

I agree probably your gasket. However, a quick, temporary fix--Get some Ultra Black liquid gasket and rub a little in around the area that is leaking....It will look ugly but may same your pants while you are waiting on the gasket and/or before you get a chance to do the repair.....

Also, that area you circled is right above the oil filter.....You may want to drain your oil and check to make sure the oil filter is not clogged, needs replacement, and/or is on backwards....It could be not letting the oil in properly, or pushing it back out and filling the area where you have the leak or something....

Hope this helps....
