Re: Engine guard, germany, cheap
I might be wrong but the bracket at the bottom of the picture (which is really the top of the bar) looks wrong. I just installed a Barons Engine Guard (crash bar) and there was only one hole for mounting in the spot where the horn goes. There was one smaller hole for re-locating the horn but that was all. Also, I am really happy with the quality and the fit of the Barons. Everything mounted up fine. My GZ is a 1999.

I agree. At the top mounting position there should be two holes - one below the other - one for fixing the bars to the bike, and one (threaded) for relocating the horn.

Yeah i thought so also, that's why i sent them an email, to explain me that fact...

Re: Engine guard, germany, cheap
This might be mounting lower than horn mounting hole, just like in my engine guard taken from chinesse bikes. I had to improve mounting a little to match frame :)

Re: Engine guard, germany, cheap
I thought so... Does it work good in case of accident? Kind of weak, if you ask me...
They didn't respond to my mail... |

I wouldn't feel comfortable with that mount but that's just my opinion. To each his own.

Re: Engine guard, germany, cheap
you can pick up bike by my guard, but for sure mounting could be better
