Great write up. That will be of great help to others with the same or similar problems. Excellant pics by the way. Gotta agree with the safe than sorry theory. You have probably avoided a lot of grief later on down the road. Did you per chance slip in an inline fuel filter while tinkering?

No and I'm less inclined after seeing the in tank filter. I thought it was not so fine as it is. I've bought marine filters meant to be the only fuel filter that look just like this does.[/quote:sawex18p]
Good to know the filter is actually a quality item rather than a price point part with questionable effectiveness.
