Forward Controls

Thinking about doing some modifications to my bike, if possible i would like to put on on some forward controls for the break and shift levers. Don't even know if this is possible for the 250 but if anyone has done this or heard of someone doing this it would be great to hear about. Hope this will make the ride a little more comfortable for someone as tall as my self. Maybe eventually bobber the bike out if i have the time but this would be an easy first step im thinking. Let me know what you think!

Re: Forward Controls

I looked into the same thing after a few longer touring rides.

I think the consensus was that some fabricated foot rests or crash bars are just about you're only options, without spending some real money.

I wouldn't be that hard to have a bike shop extend the shift lever and forward controls, but you'll have to ask around for local quotes.
Even an "S" shaped foot rest attachment would be nice, to extent the rests forward, but I'm not a machinist so I can't experiment with them

Like I said, it shouldn't be too terribly hard, but you'll have to use your imagination, as nothing is currently available in the aftermarket world.

EDIT: This might also help.

Re: Forward Controls

This is what I made up for my G.Z.Doesn't move the controls, but allows you to stretch your legs out.
