New Guy with a New Bike

I brought this 2002 GZ250 home tonight. It has 3500 miles, is completly stock, and I paid $1200 for it. This is my very first bike so I will be learning to ride on it. I am sure I will outgrow it, but I plan on taking off the rear seat and the little bag up front. If I do anything to it, I will add a K&N, weld on a new muffler, adjust the carb, and maybe some colored lights on the motor. Might get crazy and redo the seat. I'm the type of guy that can't leave my stuff stock.

Hi there,

Good idea. It looks like it's obstructing the headlight beam. :)

Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. Your first investiment should be in the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course). It will be the best investment in your safety that you can make. The bike looks good - mine was black also. Ride safe.

If you do then you do. You can be sure of several things it you get something bigger. It will be more expensive, harder to maintain, worse on gas, faster and louder. I've had mine for 3 years and 14,000 miles. As long as I can get parts, I doubt I'll change for the first three reasons given above.

Welcome!

:plus1: Over 4 years & 20,000 Km for mine.
