i need to know what kind of oil filter i need for a 2001 gz250 part number or whatever you need to buy one i dont wanna take the thing out to find out until i have everything i need to change the oil thanks

The OEM filter # is 19-0249 or use the HIFLO-FILTRO HF-136.

The GZ oil filter is very common with numerous small engines. Try any place that sells quads, snow blowers( in Florida!)recreation toys of any sort. It is cheaper than OEM and just as good. Or go to a small engine repair shop if one is handy.
