Twitter and Facebook
Perhaps their popularity has already peaked, or maybe no one wants to be bothered with it, but, given that our profiles have slots for AOL Instant Messenger and Jabber, I thought perhaps adding a spot for one's Facebook and/or Twitter profile might be of interest.

Probably the biggest difference is that Forums generally have people that hide behind User Names without revealing who and where you are unlike Facebook. Not saying anything is wrong with using your actual name here like you do but it's just not as common. :) |
Re: Twitter and Facebook
I may live to regret that, but when I started participating in Internet chitchat I figured I might as well be who I am. Hopefully a ill-considered or impulsive post won't come back to haunt me IRL.

Both will show up in your profile AND in posts under your name/avatar |
Re: Twitter and Facebook
Dupo,
Probably not doing it right, but couldn't get my Twitter to show up. Tried full URL, @name and just name. -Alan. |

Re: Twitter and Facebook
It was my fault. Forgot to check two buttons to "on". Works now!

Re: Twitter and Facebook
Yep, working now. Up to TWELVE whole followers. Ashton Kutcher, I'm coming after you!
(FYI to other micro-bloggers - the link seems to work best if you put in the "public profile" link you can find under "Account" under "edit profile" on the "New" version of Twitter.) |
