congrads on the new bike. i was looking at the picture and i see that you have a spitfire windshield. i just put one on my bike. the instructions said the make sure it sits on the headlight so it doesn't vibrate. this is what i did. does your windshield vibrate when you ride. mine is solid, but i would like a steeper angle but am out of mounting rod. the only way to get it would be to raise the windshield up on the handle bars that's why i asked the question

safe biking enjoy the ride

Hi Grego,
I am running with the Spitfire windshield now and if it is not braced against something the screws will loosen up from vibration.
I have mine braced up against speedo which is much higher than the headlight.

When I had my SpitFire windshield I also had it tight against the speedometer to keep it from vibrating.I put a clear furniture bumper between the shield and speedometer to keep the shield from marking the chrome.I upgraded to the National Cycle "street shield" a much better shield because it has four mounting points instead of two like the "spitfire".

Hi All,

I had the windshield installed by the dealer before they delivered the bike to me. So far so good, but let me just say that I just graduated from riding up and down the driveway to my first spin around the block. So, truthfully probably not enough run time to evaluate whether or not the windshield vibrates. Thanks to you all for bringing this topic up so that I have been forewarned. I have familiarized myself with the tightening knobs just in case...
