Hello,

Pretty new bike rider... just experience of 74 miles so far ! Bought the new 2009 GZ 250 in Dec 2010.
Pretty excited !

Take it slow and have fun. Rode through your neck of the woods twice last summer and fall on the way to sonoma/Guerneville/Bohemia and so forth.

Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. I would recommend you take the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course) so as to not develop any bad habits. Ride safe.
