The Bob Project
So the GZ is fixed, and gone. I'm gonna miss that little bike. I'm gonna keep the VL250 for a while yet, loving the extra torque and power from its V-Twin and the bit of extra leg room. However, over the course of a bottle of Jack Daniels with my rider mate The Sickness, we came to the conclusion that we need a new project. We decided to start with a bobber, mostly due to the fact we both are hard rock boys and want to keep things simple on our first mission into the world of custom bikes. What I'm after here is some thoughts on what sort of bike we should kick it off with. Now we're not looking at spending a great deal for this, as the two that make all choices would frown upon it  but I thought the wealth of knowledge here would be a good place to start asking questions about what sort of bike would be a good place to start......

Re: The Bob Project
Can you lay your hands on a Suzuki 650 thumper. Much like a GZ but bigger.

Very good choice WW. :2tup:[/quote:3snxs8g0] Thank you. Seems like a good choice and the 650 is not a complex bike to mess with. Belt drive is nice too. Both the GZ and the LS 650 have been around long enough to vote. Both have a solid following with a lot of experience and info on their own forums. |
