North Korean traffic technology.

North Korea may be behind the rest of the world in most technology, but they are far ahead in traffic directing technology: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-hyVzTV ... re=related

My Korean friends tell me the real dialogue is even funnier than the fake subtitles...

Could we have another Hitler diatribe subtitle fad here?

I wonder if there are any traffic lights in Pyongyang or anywhere else in N. Korea? I suppose having traffic girls and the military (to drop them into place) does keep unemployment down in that country.

Sadly the traffic girls are easier to replace than traffic lights in case of mishap. I can't imagine standing in the middle of an intersection and directing folks who are busy texting.

I can't imagine much texting going on in N. Korea (do they even have cell towers?). But give them a few years and it will become the norm. Capitalism will catch on some time in the future, just like it eventually did in China, and look at them now! The N. Korean leaders will wake up one day and realise there is money to be made, but I don't think China will help, they don't want the competition.

I will say that I prefer l looking at a traffic girl much more than a red light.
