I got it a week and a half ago. I have some questions, but I will put them in the appropriate section.

Thanks Guys!

It is a 2002 with 3400 miles. And with the original (9 year old) tires  .......... So I already ordered new ones.

I am really enjoying it and I look forward to doing my first oil change and spark plug change on a motorcycle.

BTW I was looking at the service manual on the instructions for taking the wheels off; do you have any tips or things to note?

Much easier if you change one wheel at a time, using the kick stand as a third leg when jacking up the bike.

Welcome. Good call on the old tires as it is better to be safe than sorry. One wheel at a time is probably safer. Hint: When removing front wheel leave bike in gear, when removing rear wheel wrap some velcro around the front brake lever. You have less chance of the bike rolling. Oh......when the front wheel is off do not even think of pulling the brake lever as bad things will happen. Put something handy between the grip and brake lever as a precaution. Also a good time for inspecting brake pads and linings.
