Any information about this outrigger system ???

Hi, there.
I saw this photo from ADV web site.
And looks very useful for the riders from East side of state, currently... ha ha ha

If we can have these at the state, I'm very interested in.
Anyone has idea or information???
Searched internet, nothing, nada, none... ^^;

I saw some bikes with spikes (for ice?) somewhere, but I can't remember where I saw 'em. Was probably Colorado. Might have been Tahoe. However I don't think they had the skis. I'm kind of surprised this works - it would seem that once your rear wheel slid out the outrigger wouldn't do you much good, but obviously it does. I'm guessing the thing handles like a snowmobile with a higher center of gravity. Probably not recommended for off-road - I could see getting stuck in the deep stuff pretty easily.

I wonder what happens if you dig one of those skis into something on one side only? Over the bars?

What is ADV? All Drive Vehicle? Is it a brand name?

Looks kinda neat. Judging by the plate I would say that is a normal winter road somewhere in Europe. ADV is a world wide adventure motorcycle forum.

The plate is Italian (I)

Looks like the job of the skis is to stop the bike falling over sideways (hence the shock absorbers)

Elefantentreffen is a German ride and camp-out in the snow.

Crazy fun???

Edit: ADV is a motorcycle website with over 100,000 members.
I have been a member of that site since 2005.
Members from all over the world.
