http://www.westendmotorsports.com/kurya ... 16446.html

Do i need to do anything special to instal these. Like rewire or is it just slip off, slip on?

We have 7/8" handlebars, not 1".

ok. so if i get the 7/8 Option, is it just plug and play? or is there a bunch of stuff i have to do, making it not worth the time?

Re: Handlebars. Additional Assy?

It's not always easy to get the old grips off, you have to get something under the rubber and pry it off the metal bar it's sort of glued to, or cut them off.
When you remove the one on the right, or throttle, side, do not cut off or damage the plastic sleeve that rotates around the bar and engages the throttle cable. The right and left grips may be different internal diameters so check out which goes where before you try and install them. When you put on the new grips, you can lubricate them first with a good dose of hairspray which when it dries, also glues the grips to the bars again.
Make sure you read all the directions in how to do this so you don't screw it up.

Looks like what he is getting has the sleeve integrated in the grip. No need for a throttle sleeve.

I always juts cut mine old one with a razor blade.

Make one long/straight slash, from the inside of the handlebar out, and then peel the rubber grip off like opening an orange.

Last thought - Make sure you get the right size (7/8") before you cut the old ones off.

I got the same ones only from a guy in Florida, it was $25 shipping included. I'm quite happy with those. (Honestly I had not expected a good grip before I got 'em)

When taking off old grips, whAt do you do with that plastic sleeve? And what if youre putting new bars on?

Re: Handlebars. Additional Assy?

The plastic sleeve is part of the throttle assembly. The entire assembly slides off the end of the bar after you loosen the screws that hold it tight. The 2 throttle cables go into the assembly.

Most aftermarket grips fit over the throttle sleeve. If you look at them closely, one is a little larger than the other. When removing the old grips just be careful not to damage the throttle sleeve. The throttle sleeve stays in place. The new one will slide on over the sleeve.
