Nice bike. Welcome to the forum.
Are those bags new? You may want to put a heat shield under the right sided bag to keep the heat from the muffler from burning or melting the bottom of the bag. Do a search on here and you'll see various modifications many members have made.

The bags are a couple of years old, but I only get to ride the bike about once a week. I've also got 2008 Harley Sportster that's been taking up most of my time as I fight to tame it. The tip on the heat shield is a good one! I'll check out the forums and let you know how it works out. Harley and Suzi pic posted below. :cool:

I like the trim on the tank and fenders! Did you do that yourself or is that how they're makin' them nowadays?

Actually the trim is just some plastic "chrome" tubing that I split down one side and (so it was kinda "U" shaped) and pressed into place. It's not even glued on and I have to press it in place from time to time. Not often, it fits really tight. I keep thinking that I should glue it in place; I just never got a round to it! :tongue:

Thanks for the idea! I was thinking about either having someone pinstripe my bike, or apply some graphics to it, to help accent the black color. This was a lot cheaper and produced nice results, although the front fender was a pain with all of the sharp bends it has around the fork area. Had to have someone help me finish it up as my fingers got so sore from all of the pressing that I just couldn't press anymore. (I did the back fender first and I didn't want to ride around with the front fender only half done.) Now that my finders have had time to recover, I'm going to tackle the tank this week.

You can also buy a roll of self adhesive chorme door edge guard trim that works well without having to split it.

That's what I was using and also why my fingers got so dang sore. LOL. It took bit of effort for me to push it on as the adhesive was adding resistance to it. Especially around the bends. The wise guy that finished up the front fender for me brought a heat gun and an extension cord with him and got it on there in no time flat and with minimal effort. Then razzed me about trying doing it the hard way. Don't ya just hate show offs? :biggrin:

Looks exactly like mine! :2tup: Except mine came with the stock engine guard (looks nice, not sure how practical it is). Makes me wish for warm weather!
