It's a Yamaha BWS125 scooter.

grasshopper 01-25-2014 08:25 AM

does that scooter keep up with you ? oh yeah , I like those handlebars you got your bike. how tall are they? bike looks real good.

X10bws 01-25-2014 07:31 PM

The scooter keeps up with me no problem, it has a 155cc engine lol. The handlebars have a 4 inch rise, pretty comfortable.

ImaginativeFig 01-25-2014 09:15 PM

Looks like a mean little scooter. Lookit that angry eye! :P

Water Warrior 2 01-25-2014 09:22 PM

It's nice of you to take the bike out to play with it'd friends.

Cathy 01-25-2014 11:19 PM

Qasual - I noticed Cathy's bike had a sticky throttle and it wasn't the return spring or cable. Last thing to check is the bar ends being to tight.

X10bws 01-26-2014 12:25 AM

When i installed aftermarket bar ends yesterday, had to slide it out a bit lol.

Cathy 01-26-2014 01:04 PM

Qasual- Yep it was the bar ends, throttles like a charm now.

Xbow did you wanna ride today ?

what I did to my gz250 today is changed the exhaust to a fishtail exhaust pipe.

I made a short sound video if any one wants to check it out.

post your opinions.

Water Warrior 2 01-26-2014 08:01 PM

Hmm. Doesn't do anything for me but it is your bike. If you like it that's what counts. Variety is the spice of life and keeps things interesting. Ride and enjoy.

X10bws 01-26-2014 10:13 PM

Nice, sounds very aggressive.

grasshopper 01-27-2014 08:43 AM

thanks for the opinions. I would like to here more if anyone else has any. maybe a scale 1 thru 10 . 1 dislike - 10 like.

X10bws 01-27-2014 07:56 PM

Met up with Qasual today for lunch.

Then afterwards, i removed my jets and cleaned them. Pilot jet was slightly clogged.

Did you guys know each other before, or did the forum hook you up?

Cathy 01-28-2014 09:43 AM

Qasual - Yeah the forum, had a burger and rode a little.

jonathan180iq 01-28-2014 10:45 AM

That's awesome.

Most of us in the Southeast that have met up had the same experience. Keep it up, fellas.

Plavanchy 01-29-2014 05:44 PM

Been very cold in Indiana but ordered a windshield, slip streamers-06 spitfire. As soon as it warms up a bit in my garage I'll put it on.Looks like it will be a good fit.

Water Warrior 2 01-29-2014 06:55 PM

A general rule of thumb is to mount the shield at or close to the same angle as the front forks. Also keep in mind not to mount it so high that you look through the shield. At most you want it just below eye level. Probably not a problem but just in case you need a little extra info.
If the shield comes with those goofy little bolts with wing nut heads that are hard to tighten by hand just swap in some regular bolts and use a real tool. That happened to Lynda once while we were on the road so we just stopped in at a hardware store and solved the problem.

Cathy 01-30-2014 04:27 AM

Qasual - Rode a SV650 for the first time and damn it would make a great race bike for a track with lots of infield.

Water Warrior 2 01-30-2014 09:39 AM

The SV650 is an awesome bike. One of Suzuki's better ideas.

Cathy 01-31-2014 11:14 AM

Qasual - I agree, today though. I got paid so I will visit the shop and see if my 16t sprocket is in and possibly my windshield.

Qasual - I bought Cathy a net as a Chinese new year gift and we made good use of it today at Costco.

grasshopper 02-01-2014 08:40 AM

Nice net. looks like it will work out great for you. I see you will be making soup. We will be making some chicken adobo this evening for the Chinese new years.

grasshopper 02-09-2014 10:01 AM

what I did to my gz250 today is...well yesterday... completed everything on the fishtail exhaust system and took it for a ride. today I will check all fluids, tire pressure, and such and go for another ride:ride::P:ride::ride:!!!

Looks good:tup:. is that a bigger than factory front tire? will you be painting the lower part of the forks?

grasshopper 02-22-2014 06:54 PM

what I did for my gz250 today was take it out the stable and took it for about a 80 mile ride between two counties:ride:.

beefjerky 02-25-2014 03:42 PM

Done!! ;)

Water Warrior 2 02-26-2014 10:10 AM

Excellent.
For your next assignment you must wear your helmet for 30-45 minutes while on the computer. Think of it as neck exercises to strengthen muscles.
Okay I'm just pulling your chain but that is what I have been doing lately after not riding for about a year and a half.

Cathy 03-10-2014 10:28 PM

Should be insuring next month, hope to see some faces on here !

I'm just going to have to wait till the Money Pit comes out of the shop. Should be a real hit to the slush fund.

Cathy 03-13-2014 08:29 AM

Qasual - Yes, today I finally fixed her bike up so it is now 100% ride-able. The stiff shift problem was due to not enough lube which was a dead easy fix. Now once that windshield comes in from back-order. It will be Cathy's super efficient and cool school machine!

I am going to miss the non-windshield look. But it does look pretty filled out with one.

Cathy is going to riding school beginning of next month and there is also a Revscene bike meet at Spanish banks. If anyone is interested in thw Vancouver area. Give me a shout.

Water Warrior 2 03-19-2014 05:57 PM

I like it. The bike looks more grown up with the shield, rear rack and crash bars. The added utility of the rack and shield will have Cathy wanting longer rides. Can't be a bad thing.

grasshopper 03-20-2014 11:29 PM

When I added stuff to my gz250 I felt that my bike was getting bigger and to me looked bigger and felt like a bigger bike.:). Since I no longer have the gz250 I can't mention anything done to it, but if you all don't mind I can tell you what I did to my magna 750 today. I added some foot pegs to the frame so I could stretch out my legs more and readjusted the handle bars to add to the comfort.:D Oh and by the way if any of you ever get the chance to ride one (Honda magna vf750c ) try it out. I fell in love with this little beast.:D

Cathy 03-21-2014 01:51 AM

Front page say that it is not limited to just GZs. So you are fine, was hoping more to post about their day or what they did on their bike.

Water Warrior 2 03-21-2014 07:27 AM

Grasshopper..............you had a GZ, tell us what you did when you had it. Your time with the bike and experience is worth knowing. Also I think your present bike would be worth learning about from your own perspective. Members who will be moving up to a larger bike in the future will surely benefit from your words.
I intend to write about my Silver Wing once it is on the road and I have some experience with it.
