Yeah, the young ones can learn from our mistakes because they will never live long enough to make them all by themselves. :hehe:

Pop does nice paint work. Does he ride too?

Goose51683 02-12-2014 07:53 AM

That is gonna be one nice looking bike. Who is this pop and does anyone have any tips for painting the tank and other various parts. I did an amateur job on my bike last year but I'd like to do something a little more professional this year.

Pop is my dad and thanks goose for the kind words. Well like one guy said on here its deff all about the prep work and experience. My dad has been painting cars since I was 4 so maybe like 25yrs now. This was his first time job on motor cycle parts and it came out great. You could also invest in a cheap hvlp spray gun set and they run on low psi also you want no water in the air lines at all.

Water Warrior 2 02-14-2014 06:21 PM

After 25 years I would call that a professional grade paint job. There is no substitute for experience.

I love the site how it changes up a lot. Anyways its been almost a month with no serious progress just the front forks installed with bearings repacked and that's it. tomorrow I will order almost all the parts to finish her up. I plan on going with the Michelin commander 2 tires front and back any info or input on these tires would be nice. I would love to put a 150 rear with the stock tale. I measured the inside diameter of the tail support and it would have to be hacked up pretty good amount to clear the 150. but I may just go with the 140 rear 130 front =(

Water Warrior 2 03-04-2014 10:21 AM

I just want to see the finished product. I'll be patient though. It is going to be something spectacular.

suzushee 350 04-08-2014 12:58 PM

thanks warrior. I have been busy with work and family she is still sitting in the same spot collecting dust now lol. hopefully when I get some spare time I can finish her up

suzushee 350 06-12-2014 03:21 PM

ok guys n girls started ordering more parts got the ac to dc conversion to run a battery on the banshee engine harness. I will be taking more pics to view the progress on this little 350cc. Iam trying to patient buts its hurting me inside to see her just sitting in my garage. I really need help from one of you guys on finding me a 38 or 39 rear sprocket any help would be great thanks

In the sprocket change thread, there is a breakdown of sprocket ordering numbers. If you follow that, you can get any size sprocket you need from Sprocket Specialists. :)

Man o man almost 4 months and finally getting back to the suzushee project. I recently lost my job and have no source of income at the moment. But I am working at home out the garage for anyone who needs repairs done on vehicles motorcycles and atv. I managed to put a little bit of cash to the side for the bike. I will be purchasing new rear tire, air filters for the carbs, head gasket tell you the story later =) and will finally start final assembly man im so dam excited been really patient and everything is dusty tired of looking at her in its current state. I will keep you guys posted with pictures coming soon. I refuse to make this another dead end thread that was never completed =)

Is it too late to make an enquiry on how much modifications were needed to fit the 350? Did you make your own engine mounts or did you just use the ones from the Banshee itself? Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I'd absolutely love to do something similar to my GZ! How's the project coming along so far?

I basically cut the whole bottom half of the frame and reconstructed to fit the banshee 350 motor it was a whole winter project but almost 2 years to complete it and theres still little things here and there that have to be upgraded
