Welcome Trista!!!! I bought my GZ for exactly the same reasons... AND I have the same color & YEAR of GZ! But mine isn't in nearly as good cosmetic shape.

I just LOVE my GZ and even if I decide to move "up" will never sell it. It is my baby.

I am a new rider as well, with about 2000 miles. Take the BRC if you can. Folks here are very friendly & even more eager to help if you have questions about the Suzuki GZ 250. Good luck & ride safe!
