Went past the bike shop today, and there it was. Nearly new. Immediately fell in love with it. The bike of my dreams. 680cc, built in luggage etc etc etc. Trouble is, it'll probably be gone before I win the lottery. |

1976: new 1975 125 Suzuki RV. Basically a 2 wheeled tractor that did nothing well except 100 miles per gallon.
1978: new 1978 Suzuki GT 750 Water Pumper. 1979: 2 new Suzuki SP 370 enduros for me and the wifey. 1981: new 1981 Yamaha DT 175 for wifey. 1982: new 1982 Yamaha DT 175 for me. 1988: 1988 Kawi KDX 200 dirt bike. Most fun I ever had with my clothes on. Stayed with me for 9 years. 2005: 2005 Vstrom 650. Still got it but it is for sale. |

No more talk about the ex either obviously not a good subject and you've moved on sorry ! I've too have ridden many a KDX200 and the 220's agreed those are tried and true awesome versatile trail bikes ! |

:lol: :lol: Oh I can talk about the ex now without my blood pressure going sky high. She was a good example of who not to marry. Of course I was blind as many men are and suffered the consequences.

Beautifully restored. It seems the bikes from the 80's were the best looking and most user friendly when it came to comfy ergonomics. Many of the older GS models are just too nice throw out and happily find a new home for a caring owner. A friend has an 84 GS 1100 and rides to work as often as possible. It has a custom swing arm and assorted other upgrades that make it a killer bike but is still streetable. He has another that was used as a drag bike in Eastern Canada and is just too much for the street and is very hard to ride at a normal pace. I think my two fav bikes for appearance are the older V-Max and the Kawi Lawson replicas. They look all business and can prove it too. Good thing I never got a really fast bike cause I would surely be dead long ago. I had enough narrow escapes in cages when I was younger. Passed a LEO with radar one day at 135 mph in a Rambler. His Dodge 440 interceptor had it's work out that day. LOL |
