Just what aspect of the seating/leg position is it that bothers you ?? The only complaint that I remember is knees hitting the handle bars......which was solved, I think, by rotating the bars up and forward a bit. |

Re: What height is too tall for the suzuki?
At 6ft I don't have any problems with the peg position. That said I do remember in my msf course my knees getting in the way at low speed tight turns. As far as my daily use I haven't been able to replicate the problem. It probably was do to my incorrect leg position (riding with flailing legs) at first and not "griping" the bike with my knees. There is a post in here where someone made highway bars for long rides that looked great, but I don't think their practicle for short city driving.

Good call Easy. That is exactly the situation with the Yamaha 250 I took training on. Don't ask me if I hooked a knee and dumped it during slow exercises.  |

Re: What height is too tall for the suzuki?
I keep the tires at factory recommendations (32 psi rear) and set the (shitty) shocks at the mid point, third notch.
There is someone on this site that has changed the shocks to a shorter (?) upgraded Harley Sportster shock, but I can't remember who it was and if it made any great change in the ride. If I rode the GeeZer more, I'd definitely change the rear shocks and have the seat remade with a better quality and higher density foam. I've done alot to the bike, but as it stands now, I only put about 100 miles a month on her and I really don't want to spend the money to get these things done. :) |
Re: What height is too tall for the suzuki?
That helps alot. It was posted in another thread about pressures and I had noticed a decal on the left side swing arm on my GZ that had different pressures listed than the book had. That decal lists for solo riding 33 front and 36 rear and 41 rear for 2 up so i kinda split the difference and run 30 front and 35 rear. Was pondering with riding 2 up if I'd be ok with just what I run instead of changing anything. And My shocks stay at 3 too so unless someone corrects me I'll just do my riding either solo or 2 at the pressures and shocks as they are.
Thanks! :2tup: |
