Funny they call them engine guards. When a bike falls, its the tank, turn signals and exhaust that gets damaged :)

Hi Dupo,
When mine fell over it was because I'd parked on a hill. Even though it was in first gear, it ran forward off the stand & fell over to the left.
The only damage was a slight scratch on the engine guard, & a scuff on the block on the end of the grip. The block on the grip bent, but I was able to straighten the long bolt & it's as good as new.
If you look at the pictures of my bike in "luggage rack" in "gz bike mods" you'll see that the guard appears to be different to the American type. It's saved me from some serious damage.

Oh yea, i forgot .. the bar ends/grips get it too. Thats what happened to my GZ :)

Not saying they arent a good idea, just goofing on the name. Its like having a bumper guard when really it covers the grill and headlights lol.

I think it is different from the OEM Suzuki part, of which I believe there is only one (not different on this side of the pond) and which is pretty much useless. I too have a third party guard which is much more substantial. (pict's on here somewhere).
