Welcome to the forum Rough 1316.I think you will find lots of examples on this site for modifying your ride. There are many talented people here with unique ideas on making changes to their bikes. Browse the forum and check out all the bobbers, cafe racers, etc. Then hook up with those members if you see something you like and I am sure they would be willing to share their experiences with you and help you avoid any pitfalls that they might have encountered with their projects.
