Hi Guys,
While rebuilding carb all of a sudden the turn signals stopped working ..

1. Replaced the handle bars left signal switch as the high beam button was missing when I got the bike. It came with wiring harness.
2. No bent pins at wiring harness connector.
3. Fuses all work.
4. I've ordered a new relay should be here in 3-4 days.
5. the new switch did not change anything or my old one so makes me think its not switch related.

Ill update when i put new relay in, if it is not the relay I will be at a loss.

:ride: any help is appreciated..

Only the front turn signals act as running lights, the rear turn signal lights are not running lights and should not come on unless turn signal switch is activated. As for the brake light, I assume it doesn't work with either front or rear brake applied. That being the case and if you are certain the fuse is good then the most likely culprit is a bad ground in that circuit. The most likely place to look for that is at the bulb itself. Often times the socket that the bulb sets down in becomes corroded and or dirty. Take the bulb out, clean the contact points on both the socket and the bulb and try it again. The relay should have no effect on brake light working.

so looked at it all today again.
1. all 4 turn signals do not work when activated by switch..
2. all parking lights work.
3. brake light is now working.

All that is left is all 4 turn lights, will update after I put new relay in and will check the 4 bulbs at that time.

Thanks for the tip..

The new relay is letting it all work now
hopefully no more electrical issues.. :)

Weird coincidence it just happened to go out when rebuilding the carb..
