Does anyone know? There are a green/blue assuming this is the pulser/trigger,
then just 3 yellow for the rectifier... wouldn't there be 2 more wires if it were an AC unit? I'm assuming the cdi gets its power from the battery rather than coming from the stator?

Thanks....Newbie here.....

I would assume so since it is a 12 volt DC system.

Yes, AFAIK the battery powers the ignition, coil is under the tank. Not a coil & breaker switch in the flywheel.

Sorry for a 3 month late response. But yes, those 3 wires are AC from the stator going to the rectifier to provide DC to the battery. Those 2 extra wires are what contains the small pulse to the CDI telling it RPM/position and when to fire. Attached is the ignitor I ended up using for my gz250.

I would really like to know what web site you purchased this ignitor and a basic wire diagram. My bike was missing both the ignition coil and CDI. I would like to save over a hundred bucks on a used unit. Your bike seems to run fine? I would be very grateful on how you made it work. Thanks
