Hello. I have a slightly interesting charging problem. At idle there is no real problem and the volt meter reads at the battery terminals around 13.88 volts on the low end and would sometimes go as high as 14 volts. However, when I rev it up the voltage actually drops down to around 13.49 but as soon as I let go of the throttle and let it idle again it goes back up to 13.88. the battery is 6 months old. It's a 2007 GZ with about 8500 miles on it. Engine sounds good. I live in Burbank where it's been 100 degrees plus. I'm suspecting the RR. Any idea why this may be happening? Thanks. Josh

Thank you. I'm seeing some cheap ones from China for 10 bucks. However, I see some cheap used ones off of 250 Marauders. Are those okay to use on mine?

So, I got the new regulator. Connected it. Still having the same problem. I will say that when I rev up the engine the voltage would surge up for a second but then quickly come back down. I checked the AC voltage from the stator and at idle it reads 35.0 and would go up to 88.7 when I revved. I also switched out the battery for a new one and still having the problem. I cleaned up all the connections with contact spray. What in the hell is going on???
