Well, I guess if you've seen one, you've seen them all...

I finished the MSF course a few weekends ago and picked up an '06 GZ250 from a friend who was looking to upgrade to a bigger bike. The bike came with a few nice extras like a windscreen and saddle bags. Only had ~1900 miles on her so she's pretty much new.

Welcome to the forum! Sharp looking 250!

I noticed your plate said Ohio and looked to see that you are from NE Ohio as well. I'm just south of Akron... Will I see you out there on the road?

Thanks! I'm up in the Eastern suburbs of the Cleveland area - although I did take my MSF course down in the Hudson area. Not sure if I'll venture down that far, but I do go down to State 8 Motorcycles every once in awhile.

Sounds great! I had a great time at my MSF course - went from never having been on a bike to getting my endorsement at the end. My instructors were top notch and hopefully yours will be the same.

I may see you on the roads yet. I have family that lives up in Mentor, so I'm going to be up that way every so often. Perhaps we'll have to meet and ride sometime!

Is the weather ever going to even out though? Waiting for some warmer and non-rainy days!

Doug

 Well, i guess he is...but all i can say is he had a lot of patience fo me specially for me as a first timer and never driven a bike before. He paid more attention on me ;) 'coz most of his students had experiences!
Anyways, you take care and drive safe....

How do you like those Bags? They look too big. Any issues with them resting on the exhaust?

The bags are great - just big enough for me to throw a pair of Fieldsheer pants in when things cool down at night. When I get another bike, I'll be getting saddlebags for it as well.

From the angles of the photos, it does look like they are resting on the exhaust pipe, but there's about half an inch of clearance. No scorch marks on the bags at all - there's just a little bit of soot but that wipes right off.

What make / Brand are the Bags? Where did you get them and how do they fare in the rain?

They are Tourmaster Nylon Cruiser II (http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=132&cat=16) bags. Haven't really ridden them in rain yet, but they do have an internal drawstring enclosure that helps to keep things on the inside dry. If you want I can take a picture of the inside of the bag.

My '06 is identical, minus the windshield... once I saw that gorgeous silver/light blue color, I had to have it. Diggin' the saddlebags too... I stole my husband's from his Suzuki Blvd before he traded in, but they're so huge they just dwarf my bike :(
