Hi, my name is Charles I bought my wife a light blue 2006 GZ-250 with 91 miles on it on April 1, 2008. She really love this bike it already has 600 miles on it. We are planning a trip to Alabama in June. She wanted a Ninja 250 but when she took the class she rode a GZ-250 and really liked it. I had a Kawasaki ZZR1200 and I just sold it Mon. and I bought a Kawasaki Mean Streak yesterday, (thats how I came up with the screen name). Hope to learn more about these bikes and meet new friends. Thanks, Charles

Welcome to the conference.......both of you!

Just a warning though.

We had better not hear about YOU riding the GZ when your wife is not looking !!

Some folks with a "big" bike and a GZ in the shed find that they end up on the GZ more than they ever imagined.

I have ridden her bike over mine because I have to move her bike out of the shed to get mine out and when I do ride it is mainly because I am too lazy to move hers out and then pull mine out and put hers back in the shed and then do it all over again when I get back. If I am going to the gym or running errands around town it is just easier to take hers plus it gets a lot better gas mileage than mine.

Good. As long as you are "fessin' up", you might as well go ahead and say that it is more fun around town than the big beast is!

Not to me, but I just got the Mean Streak Sat. and the ZZR1200 I had was a blast to ride and the only downside to them is they harder to position in the shed so I can fit the GZ in there ( The ZZR was top heavy, but it fit good against the wall of the shed once you got it in there, and the Mean Streak I have to back it at the almost perfect angle so it does not hit the wall and I can get the GZ in there) I will have take a picture to show you what I mean. The GZ is fun to ride but I like like the Mean Streak better.

We are going to Jemison and Clanton, that is where I was raised.

Yes it did, and it also had the crash guard on it also.

Hey welcome... it really takes some adjusting to get back onto a big bike after the GZ250 for a few days.... Damn, I almost ran up the butt of a CHP last time I was able to ride my Bandit 1200... (Now down ill)... He let me off...

Looks like a good site here....

Lynda's bike has the same crash bar. It won't save anything in a drop but it is a good place (right side) to hang a disc lock while riding.

Looks like there might be a new shed in your future.
