So.... I thought I had it fixed but the rear brake just didn't work right for a few
days now...
See the 'carnage' post.
So I pulled the rear wheel and found this:

Contacted Amazon and their seller. Amazon passed the buck instantly. Their seller D2moto
hasn't responded to my email and pictures of all the damage to my bike yet.

Don't hold your breath while waiting for a response. Would be very nice if the shoes were replaced for free due to a casting flaw. Crossing my fingers for good luck.

So D2moto finally responds 5 minutes ago. They say if I ship the shoes back on my dime
they will send me a replacement set.
So I'm thinking....
1) It will cost half to three quarters what I paid to ship them back for my free set.
2) What quality will the replacement set be?
Honestly. I just wanted to let them and Amazon know they may have a SERIOUS liability
issue here that could cause injury to riders and HAS caused serious damage to my bike.
They are ignoring the fact even with a ton of HD pictures documenting it.
Bottom line. Never buy anything from Amazon the failure of which could kill you.
To Amazon, in case they read this, don't sell critical parts if you have no intention of
policing the quality.
PS: If someone else down the road sues you for this kind of failure don't say I didn't warn you.
You are lucky I have no intention of pursuing this further.
/me slides his soap box back under his computer desk and looks for something fun to do to
get his mind off this ish.

I'm re reading this thread and holy #%^* @$%&......
When I bought this bike it was a stormy day. I worked on it to get it running.
I rode it for a good few weeks.....
And then I discovered a bell hung so high under the frame that I never noticed
it before. It was tarnished and about 1 1/4 inch by 1 1/2 inch in size.
I removed it.
Previous owner had obviously attached it.
Did I release the gremlins?!?!?!
:wtf::cry:>:(

The Ride Bell should be hung as close to the road surface as possible. The Gremlins have less chance of a successful breakdown.

Sounds like it is working at getting the Gremlins out of the bike.
