Hey guys, I've had my GZ for about a month and I have noticed that it bounces a little. It is most noticeable at about 35mph. I'm not sure if it is unsafe but it does get on my nerves a little. I adjusted my chain today and it is within spec. My tire pressures are correct. I have tried adjusting the rear shock preload both directions. Any ideas?

The only reason that your bike should bounce would be if your wheels are not balanced or if they are not true. Either way, it needs to be fixed.

Make sure that your rear axle is centered. Since you adjusted your chain, it's possible that you misaligned your rear axle. This would also cause some bouncing and rough wear on your tire.

Before you panic you need to do some experiments.
Does it do it on lots of different roads?
At 35 in 4th and 5th gear?
Is it still under warranty? If so, take it in. If not, you might want to pay to have the tires inspected.

I noticed a REALLY pronounced bounce one day right after I put on the 16T front sprocket. Tightened the rear pre-load 2 clicks and it seemed to go away. Found out later that it only happened on one street at a certain speed; something about tar-snake spacing, I think.
