I was curious to what you all think. I have a clear shield now but have been thinking about getting a smoke one. The only issue I might have is the smoke one doesn't say it is anti fog. My clear one is.

Sunglasses would be cheaper. Tinted would be nicer.

Any shield can be made "fog free" by cracking it open a bit.
I sometimes wonder about glasses under a helmet during a crash........some gruesome thoughts there.
If you have a windshiled, I'd definitely say tinted shield (I like mirror finish) because you can flip it up at night or rainy, dark days and still have eye protection.

Actually in my case sunglasses are way more expensive. I wear glasses so I have prescription sunglasses. My problem is that they are polarized. It makes a few things look different at times because of the curve on the shield and the sun reflection, so I am thinking about a tinted shield and my regular glasses.

Well then, given your circumstances, it's a no brainer.
I think I will go for sunglasses and then if I ride at night I won't have any worries, I just take them off
