I just removed my air box and put on a new filter and crankcase air breather. I took it out for a quick ride and it really bogs down when I start to accelerate past 1/4 throttle.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

install a 140 main jet to compensate for the extra air

Sounds like you changed the air/fuel ratio with the new filter set-up.

Is this your first carburated vehicle?
With fuel injection, like your car, you can just throw on anything you want and the computer compensates for the air flow. On a mechanical carb, you have to physically adjust the carb to be able to flow the proper amount of fuel for the increased flow.

For the future note, ANY change to the intake or exhaust is going to require some carb tweaking. ;)

I have found the made by emgo and are sold in sizes 28mm-60mm. I haven't removed my factory air box yet to measure.
