Hi guys, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I have about 6-7 GZ250s that I use as trainer bikes here in North Carolina. I’ve been fortunate that I’ve not had much trouble w/ any of them. The GZs have proven themselves to be great training machines as they continue to take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’ (and some of them actually do “tick”). They do require the requisite love and attention, so I’ve signed-up with you guys to stay informed.
I’m almost 50yo, and have had maybe a dozen bikes over the years. I’m currently enjoying a DR350 in the dirt. Dirt riding has been one of the most valuable learning tools in my experience. Something about sliding both ends of the bike around and not worrying so much about falling, I guess. I also have a couple of CRF150s (little dirtbikes) that I’ve been using to introduce some of the young guns into the world of motorcycling and it’s been rewarding. I’m as happy watching and helping them learn to ride as I am when I’m riding myself. But I digress... I am on the GZ250 forum, after all.
I look forward to reading more on the board and I hope I can offer some assistance, too.
Ride fun,
John
