Hey, I just joined this forum. Psyched that there are so many people who consistently post on here about their GZ's. Here are some pictures of mine - I've been messing around with it a bit lately. I'm open to any helpful comments or ideas about other stuff I could do.

Welcome to the forum. Nice pictures. Appears you have done some work on the bke. Alot of suggestions on this forum for bobbing the bike.

You are off to a good start. Was the exposed front sprocket intentional? From a safety standpoint it makes me shudder.

Ha, yeah it's intentional. I like the idea of some moving parts exposed.

It's a brand new chain. Not saying sh.t doesn't happen, but I'm not too worried about it. Plus the way the chain is routed puts something in between my leg and the chain should it break.

The only downfall is that I can't wear pants with tassles anymore.

..just kidding.

...His signature links actually slipped past my radar...

I shall now disembowel myself before an elder member of my family to show my dishonor and shame.

What is the purpose of holes in the exhaust? Is there any positive power difference in doing so or is it just for the noise it makes?

Water Warrior 2

Just more noise to annoy people.

Yeah:ride:
 Pretty much :coffee: just to annoy :lmao:
It made it significantly loud:tup:er.

Living just next to a major roadway is a pain in the ears and reduces my quality of life. The vast majority of bikes with a modified exhaust should be set on fire and left to burn to the ground. When the weather is good for riding I hate trying to watch TV because the sound system gets overwhelmed by the racket of the Hey Look at Me Crowd.
Loud exhaust.............been there done that so I am not innocent in the least. However I did not subject the world to noise for long. Noise is fatiguing, damages your hearing and just plain rude.

Well said WW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never have understood the loud factor, other than, Look at me. I'am the one that caused you to miss the ending of that show.

On the flip side of the noise debate. Why is it that some folks will buy a home next to an airport or drag strip and then bitch about the noise?? Hmmm, sounds like me doesn't it. DOH !!

Back in the day I ran a small block Chevy V-8 with open headers through a tunnel at full throttle. Quite a rush. Was on the way to a muffler shop to get new mufflers welded on after the header install.

I still kinda like exhaust that rattles the windows. Glad I didn't live next to "That Guy" when my kids were young.
