Hey all, just wanted to let you know that I've been working on the new skin for the forum (as you can see), along with some other stuff. Still have to add a new logo/header image too. Hope you like the look so far though! :)

I added a modification so that random pics from your photo albums are shown on the forum home page, so if you haven't yet, feel free to add some pics to your album, located in your User CP. I also moved some of the forums around and combined some that could go together, just to condense everything and make it even simpler and neater. Just take a mintue to look around anf you'll get familiarized with it quickly I'm sure.

Also, we're going to do away with the whole 'donation' system so you guys don't have to worry about that anymore. Instead, we're just going to run one Google ad at the top to help cover operating costs. I think this will be a much better option instead of asking members for money. No pop-ups or anything like that, just one single ad for members at the top.

Anyway, just wanted to bring you all up to date on the progress. I'll be sending out a newsletter announcing all of this soon too, to hopefully get some old members interested in the site again.

Thanks guys, enjoy! :)

-Mike

I am not seeing how to post photos in a reply thread.

The attach files does not work for me.

I am trying to get this photo to show up.

Go down to "attach files" & a window will open.Browse & upload. ;) :) Also you need to go Advanced post not quick post.

You're killing it, Mike. I'm a big fan of these changes so far, down to the Suzuki logo signifying new posts.

I've noticed that you've got smileys in your posts. I can't seem to find them. How do you do it?

:)
;)
:p

They auto insert. Just type them as if you were texting and VOILA! They magically appear

Any chance of having the smileys come up on the "post reply" page, like on the old site, so we can just click on them? Much easier for us oldies who don't text. :-D

Just got this "big grin" off the internet (Sorry, don't know text symbols) Looks like it didn't magically appear (sad face ?)

Sad face = colon open-parentheses

:(

Big grin = colon capital D

:D

The symbols must be touching

I'll look at it here in a second if Mike doesn't beat me to it.

See if this opens for you like normal, Alan. It's a list of what's working right now and shortcuts on how to implant them while you're typing.

I checked and your Enhanced Editor was turned off. I turned it on for you, so you should see the smilies now when making a reply (not quick reply).

For anyone else that isn't seeing them, go to User CP >> Edit Options >> Scroll to bottom of page, choose "Enhanced Editor".

By the way, we'll have a whole bunch of new smilies shortly. ;)
