When the bike was parked for the winter I took the time to do a few mods. new shift peg, new risers bars and grips and license trim. Tell me what you think.

Handlebars look pretty sweet. How about of photo of you on the bike so I can see how you lean over?
I would hate to fall and have my leg get trapped under that shifter of death.
Overall, I think it looks alright. Just make sure you ride enough for the "mods" to count.

I don't think I lean over much. In comparison, I think the grips are about 2" forward and 1" lower don't really know for sure. I feel more comfortable. The oem bars I felt I was sitting straight up. I like these better.

i love the handle bars very nice, the shifter is evil looking(in a good way), and the license plate with the frame look very classy. not bad

Have you had a chance to go for a long ride and determine if there is more vibration without the bar ends ?? Also the grips look kinda hard. The bars and grips look good but I would be concerned about comfort in the long run. Let us know.

my longest ride was 80 miles. I have no issues or complaints. I didn't weight them but I would say the grips are actually heavier than the bar weights. No vibrations that I notice at 55 (my top speed so far).

Looks cool to me bud!!
I was looking to change my own pegs and grips but having never done such a thing before, I have a few questions I hoped you could answer?
1) Which grips can be used?? Presume any 7/8" type (I like those you have - are they Highway Hawk??)
2) Did you ditch the old bar ends and did your new grips cover enough bar so as not to need the bar ends?
Possibly a dumb question but I guess I never done it before and if ye dont ask, ye dont learn!!
Cheers bud and aye, yer bike looks very good indeed - nice mods!

I don't know what brand the grips are. I got them used off ebay. They are 1" grips but are mounted with set screws. I wrapped the bars with black tape and then got longer set screws. They seem to be on real good.
I still have the old bar ends. I have the ends, grips and bars. The new grips are just as long as the oem ones minus the bar weights. They go in the right position.
I have seen these for 7/8" bars but they were pretty pricey. Somewhere around $50 I think.
