No experience but they look like a good smaller bike with a modern look. Cheaper than a GZ too. Still not a Freeway bike but I think it would be a lot of fun on secondary highways and in the twisties. It has some styling borrowed from the Bandit so has been nicknamed the Quarter Bandit.

Not ready to give up the game just yet but it looks like a nice bike

Just remembered. The GW is a Suzuki design and built in China at a lower cost. They are apparently in high demand in China and very well made with good quality control. With such a large market in China I think Suzuki made a good call with an economic bulls eye in the world market.

Question. With the fuel injection on these bikes, if you change pipes, air filter, etc., is it a pain to change the F.I. settings?
I know my brother has a big bike and he complained about having to change some expensive equipment on for the same reason. I want to say he had to buy a new chip to adjust the injection.

Goose, your brother must have thought he was doing the right thing for more performance but I doubt there would be much to gain from a 250 to make it worth the expense if there are any mods presently available. From personal experience with the 2 FI bikes we have had, I would say to not even try unless you really need that extra couple ponies. Suzuki seems to know how to dial in an FI engine very well for reliable and trouble free engines. There will always be a trade off with every engine mod. One of them being gas mileage. Nothing is free.

In fuel injected vehicles, as long as the computer is designed to adjust fuel delivery according to air input, then any changes that you make which don't increase airflow beyond the capability of the factory system should be fine. The FI system will automatically adjust to the new settings.
What that capacity is, however, I don't know.

Water Warrior- My brother was dealing with some behemoth of a bike 1600CC if I remember correctly, he's a bit of a modder too so the frame was about the only thing that he had not touched on his bike.
It must run in the family except that his is "pretty" bike, everything is aftermarket and nice and shiny and expensive....in that regards I am his opposite, I get upset is I have to buy anything. Heck even bolts from removing the factory pieces get reused if I can find a place they will fit.

Woohoo, a modded 1600cc should give him lots of twist and go. Sounds awesome.
I save Metric nuts and bolts too. You never know when you will need a bolt just a bit longer than the one you remove to add a farkle.

It amazes me when I go to Menards (which I never go to now because they don't ever carry ANYTHING I need) and they have an entire aisle of standard nuts and bolts but only 1 3 ft x 6 ft section of metric fasteners!

Try your local auto parts store. If you don't see what you want then ask for it. A lot of stuff is in the stock room. Saved my butt a couple times when Home Depot could not supply my needs.

yeah my local hardware store has become my go to locations. I was just making my point that anything I can salvage from the factory parts is worth it's weight in gold to me.

Haha. I have been known to actually pick up and keep metric nuts and bolts that I find laying in parking lots. When I go to Pull-A-Parts, I always come away with handfuls of metric nuts, just because.
Standard makes no sense to me.

Got one in my garage now. Have had it a week, weather is bad now ,only rode for 30+ miles so far. This was the first and only one I've seen since the Jan. 2013 motorcycle show in Cleveland, Ohio. Black in color [only color for 2013] has 17 inch wheels ,weighs 403lb, but not really noticible at least to me. Great uprite riding position and comfortable seat. Love the FI, have it on the TU also. The 6 speed is very smooth and should have been on the GZ, disc brakes front and back at last, great gauges all eletronic, even has a gear indicater so you know what gear your currently in. Tach is analog and very legible.Over all in the short ride, it was very smooth running/riding and had a nice sound to the exhaust ,not loud but nice and felt very sprited. I didn't run it hard on the way home, but I'm anxious to ride more [waiting on decent weather]. It still is a 250 but, its, FI, water cooled, six speed, disc brakes 3.5 gal tank, mag type wheels, adj rear shock, great seat and a center stand and rear rack are ava. On back order at the present but ava. It's not a race bike but it has everthing I wanted on a 250. I prefer singles but the engine appears to be smooth ,I like it so far. The reviews claim 80+ mph, not tested that as yet, but I'm happy at 55/65mph. I hit a car in the earlier days on a 100cc bike at 30/35 mph. I not sure I could survive a high speed crash in todays speeds [ EMT 21 Years] Don't like freeways, even in the car. I ride the secondry roads has much as possible all the time. I can see a lot of trips coming on this bike. terry

Sounds like a nice ride Terry.
Keep us updated when you get some more ride time. I'd like to hear how the FI works out for you.

Sounds like a great bike. Any chance of a few photos?
I'm a fan of FI , and so, on the short ride I had home it worked perfect . I did not see any differences from my DL650 or the TU250. I didn't notice any hesitations or rough spots, it was smooth acceleration or cruise. For a 0 miles bike it was very quite/comfortable/ enjoyable ride. I've not had any problems with FI on any of my bikes, they all start easy, winter or summer, and preform well on all rides. I guess in my non-technical mind, I don't want to return to carbs any time soon. Terry
Will try ,I have not yet done that, so it may take a couple attemps. Terry
