I assume you mean a fuel level sensor.....in the gas tank.
I recommend you forget it.
A difficult and DANGEROUS undertaking.
I think the only practical way to do it would be to find a whole tank from a different kind of bike that already has a fuel level float in it.

Yeah, I agree.
It's really not worth the trouble. You should know how many miles to expect before she gets close to empty.
And, besides, that's what the reserve is for.

Here we have the GZ125 with fuel level sensor since 2008 model. It's fuel injected too...

The 125 is fuel injected???
No way.
Why would they do that?
That's an awful lot of technology for a tiny motor.

You're going to have to give us more info than that. What are the symptoms?

there is the sound of the starter but the engine dont start.. like when it's cold...

Being a '99, your spark plug may need to be replaced. If the engine turns over and you're not getting any spark I would start there and then work backwards into the firing system. It's most likely a simple problem like that, since you didn't mention any problems while riding
Also, check your plug wire for white dusty circles. That's a good indicator that it has reached the end of its life.

Notice the fuel level indicator replacing the turn signals one, and the new "FI" (Fuel Injection) indicator in the speedometer:

Injection is now used in the 125cc version, to acomplish Euro-III exhaust emissions specs and to reduce fuel consumption. Actually, it's injected since the 2007 model.
You can see the injector in this picture (http://moto.suzuki.es/images/multimedia/2007/estudio/GZ125_K7_Y7L_R_4.jpg).
The GZ250 is still carbureted.

That's interesting.
I need to read up on the Euro-III limits.
What's fuel economy like with our smaller half?

(i forgot to say that i bought the bike 2 weeks ago )

White plug = lean mixture or hot plug. It's usually caused by dirt in the carburetor.
I see many carb problems in these days...
Jonathan, the fuel consumption of the carbureted GZ125 is about 80 mpg, more or less. There's not much information about the injection one, but I think it won't go over 90 mpg.

OK, let's stop this before you damage something.
It is obvious, to me at least, that you need to take your bike to a shop to have it looked at.
The part of the plug you look at for color is #2........but notice that it is white when new.
If the plug does not have a lot of brownish deposits OR doesn't have black soot, then it's probably OK.
The fact that you had to ask that question at all means to me that YOU have no business even thinking about taking the carb apart.
Are you using the choke when trying to start hot? If yes, stop that and it might work better.
Sorry, honest opinion.

it's ok i'm new at this... and i dont start the engine with choke when it hot
I have technical sense... so i'm trying to learn from here and i took the engine to a shop a week ago for fixing the rear brake and test before i bought the bike...
this is a minor problem i want to try to fix without the shop and with your help..
sorry about my nub taking.. :\

Well for the fuel level, i just shake the bike and listen, i let it run till it shuts off and then switch to reserve. Spark plugs are cheap at walmart, so no prob there. I dont know how much new wires are, nut knowing this bike, probably high, like everything else. Your prob could be either compression, fuel, or ignition. Might want to try a compression gauge, they screw in where the spark plug goes, then you turn the engine over, and see if its holding the pressure. If it is, test the wire with a screwdriver close to metal, for spark. If its fuel check all your lines for fuel.

If I rode my bike somewhere and it wouldn't start when I wanted to go home, I don't think I would consider it a MINOR problem !!!
Let's cover one other simple thing first.
Do NOT open the throttle any until you hear it fire. This applies both hot and cold.
If I understand it right, the engine turns over but won't "fire", is that correct?
So, what DO you do to get it going again?
Does it turn over more slowly when hot?
If so, you may want to have your battery and charging system tested.
Has it ever died while running?
Have you ever tried starting warm/hot WITH a little choke?
Have you tested for spark while it is in this no-start condition?
If not, you probably should do that first.
There, that should keep you busy for a while !! ;)

it's a minor problem because it's not turn on for a minute or something like that..
and when i try again for a few times it's turn on...
