Hello all. I'm a new rider from a suburb of Richmond, Va (Midlothian). I passed the MSF course earlier this month (July 2013) riding a GZ250 in my class, and then bought my first bike used a couple weeks later (a 2002 GZ250). Looking forward to poking around here quite a bit.

Welcome as well. Sounds like you've taken some great steps. We'd love to see a pic of your bike sometime.

Congrats on passing the course and getting your first bike. One of the best things you can do now is spend a few hard earned $ on reading material. Pick up a copy of Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough. New or used it contains very valuable info and hints that will make riding even better than you can imagine. Most riding courses are based on info drawn from this book. The book itself is much more technical and can explain a lot of things not covered in a riding course due to the time involved.
