55 posts in three days is impressive...

What the heck is going on?

EDIT: That's been dealt with. I needed to read through his other posts to make sure he wasn't just someone with a loose screw or something. It seemed intentional to me, plus you guys get some say about who stays and who goes around here.

He doesn't bother me other than having the occasional useless post here and there. It won't upset me if he stays or if he goes. Hang around the internet long enough and you'l always find these self promoting types.

Now if he could work a discount through his shop for forum members that might be different haha...but seriously...

The real problem is that he gives a lot of bad advice that others have to try and correct so he doesn't lead newbies astray.

That's a valid point. Can we label him differently, instead of "rookie" or "squid" label him, "potentially full of shit"

Great label if you omit 'potentially'

This is my main concern too. His advice may lead a newbie into a bucket of trouble when a simple fix is all that is required. He has never heard of the KISS Principle and seems to suggest the least cost effective way of doing anything. I can deal with his posts but I fear for the newbie who might get into all sorts of problems and hurt themselves or their bike.

Maybe a final warning then a banning.

It's already been done.
We don't usually have a no tolerance policy when someone appears to be human, but this was different. It was obvious trolling, even if it was human enough to respond directly to people.

I would make note, the best way to deal with this type of stuff is still to just hit the little flag button at the bottom of the post. The mods see those first thing when we log in and we can go directly to the issue and deal with it instead of having to search through a couple dozen posts before we find the issue.

There are only a couple of us keeping this place cleaned up, so we might as well make it as simple as possible.

Love you, dudes. ;) Now, back to the show
