As I was going for a ride tonight I got T-boned at a intersection.Guy ran the stop & got me. Drove me around 80 ft thru the intersection & landed in the ditch.I'm banged up,broken shoulder & a ton of road rash.(lucky I had leathers on).Bike is totaled. Not sure what will happen now till I hear from his insurance company. Also towed his truck from the accident as he was drinking.I'm gonna start looking for another 454 & use mine for parts. (I think) Will know more the first of the week.
THis really sucks!!! :cuss: :curse:

Well real glad you're OK, not totaled like the bike is. That's replaceable, you're not.
At least he has insurance, that's a comfort.
And if he was drunk, that could be worth a small fortune to you, as well as getting him off the road.
Hope you have a speedy recovery and when you feel up to it, good luck in your search for another bike.
Stay in touch and let us know your progress.

Blaine,

Glad to hear your alive. All you ever hear about is the guys who didn't make it through the accident. Its great to hear that you made with relatively minor injuries (it's all relative right)

Looking forward to hearing what pick out next.

Blaine, man, glad you survived, sorry for all the damage to yourself and your bike. I've had some similar injuries to the shoulder from a crash, it takes a while to recover but you will get there eventually if you do what those mean old physical therapists tell you to do. Hope you heal up quickly and return to your normal life as soon as possible. Keep us updated with your recovery.

Damn blain, glad you are here typing this report.
The shopping can be fun, and looks like you will have plenty of Internet time to get what you want.

Heal well.

Cages, man.....

I'm glad you're alright, buddy. A broken shoulder is worth keeping life.

And let this also serve as a lesson to some younger riders; even with leathers he had some road rash... Think about that for a minute. And think about what happens to your skin without leather coverings.

Ack. Nasty.

Thank goodness for crash bars! I just put mine on this weekend (had been riding the past 2+ seasons without as I hadn't spent the money on them yet).

Ouch ouch ouch and all that scary stuff. Really glad to hear you didn't become just another piece of road kill. Heal up, follow the Doc's orders and then take that drunk to court for all he has. Make him take responsibility for his actions and stupidity. Go get him and teach him what he needs to learn.
Just got home last night after 6 weeks on the road and reading about a friend and forum member getting cut down is a bit of a downer.
All in all I'm glad you survived and do hope there are no lasting effects of your mishap.

By the way, we did visit your beautiful island and it was a treat. Very peaceful and relaxing to say the least.

Looks good.

Does it have 4 plugs?
Maybe close to the 89 PC.

Nice looking bike. You can't go wrong with a bike like that. Honda does a fine job building their cruisers. Fit and finish is a matter of pride and honor. Reliability is just an added bonus they toss into the mix.
