Looks like two valves completely disintigrated.

Yes sir, both exhaust valves gone
I am going to order a new piston and valves
but this is my only mode of transportation
So do you think it can run without the exhaust valves?

Downhill, with the engine off.

BTW....This isn't something that "just happens". There has to be a cause. Usuallly a timing problem. You need to check the timing chain etc.

The head looks like it is damaged beyond repair. You may be better off looking for a good used engine.
:)

Ouch! That looks like a good candidate for an engine replacement. I noticed you are from a warm climate. Do you regularly run wide open throttle? A combo of high speeds and hot weather would certainly be an engine killer.

No, it will not run.

I have seen that happen before, on a different air-cooled engine, twice.
No, luckily they weren't mine. :)
The first time saw it, it was caused by the exhaust valves
being set WAY too far open.
The second time, the dummy had removed the exhaust system
except for a short, straight, pipe.
Didn't it give ANY warning signs before it died?

I recently had a couple gaskets replaced and if I allow it to idle too long, the exhaust pipes would glow red hot
Which I suspect was causing the valves to burn red as well which is probably why they snapped.
Yes, I am in Florida,

I have seen the same on to engines on my own chinabike  and the only diference is that my Jinlun was a 150ccm with only one exhaust valve :skull: So I feel you! RIP to that cylindertop piston and valves!!!

Yeah, I got the replacement valves and piston and smoothing out the cylinder head.
Note to all GZ250 riders, don't let your Air cooled engine idle until the pipes are bright red.
Lesson learned

No.... blue pipes is lean. Red is when the pipes get red hot. :)

-Perfect chrome means you don't ride enough.
-Blue is slightly lean.
-Red corresponds to the burning of money from your wallet.

Rainbow equals just right:

takes me 45 min to clean the chine rear wheel & polish her up after every ride now as far as the engine been blowing
do a complete top end all oe parts that engine looks like it has been running very hard for long time @ high speed
dirty oil, dirty air filter improper valve adjustment not filling up at the same station not using a colder plug setting the carb
air mix screw right to lean dirty chain clutch not adj right not using preaming gas enough for now Ill say it again 2000 gz250 of mine is new factory mint condition so fi your negitived about what I said thats ok my bike talks to me & I
